State of the One Spring Letter

2025-2026

Dear Current and Future Members, Friends, and Leaders of Creation Spirituality Communities,

Hope this time of greening and the great returning brings us all back into our strongest hearts of gratitude and deepest voices of transformation.

We offer this “Spring Letter” as a moment to reflect upon the work of CSC over the past year 2025 and to mark the direction of this current year 2026. We hope this storytelling, information-sharing, and celebration of our mutual CSC work opens up what has been and is happening online, live, and in communities and worlds and life all around us.

2025

We first celebrate the life of Elda Luisi who moved from Life to More Life in February 2026. Elda was serving as a member in the CSC Leadership Circle for the last two years and revolutionized and transformed the financial realities and responsibilities of CSC. We are forever indebted to her clarion call to tell the story with integrity from the “Treasurer Perspective.”

The celebration of her life and work, held at The Church of St. Francis Xavier in NYC, was filled with joy, hope, and surprises. It was very Elda. She left the bookkeeping and structures of our accounting in amazing shape. Leadership Circle member Brian Dorsett stepped into her role seamlessly, having collaborated with Elda over the past two years. May the choirs of angels strengthen their song with one more bold voice in their group.

Elda’s and Brian’s work relies deeply on our generous CSC donors and anonymous major donors who allow CSC to exist and thrive. Because of the small and large gifts and tithes received, we can keep the works and visions of Creation Spirituality Communities alive. It is with great Path 1 gratitude and wonder that we thank you all.

The Four Paths Project, a four-video workshop series introducing people to Creation Spirituality, was completed and celebrated in 2025. Leadership Circle member Mel Bricker helped guide the project. Leadership Circle member Charlie Dorsett brought together the work of ten Creation Spirituality teaching artists in video format, and Leadership Circle member Mary Ann Wamhoff captured the words in a print version. This series was created so that everyone has access to video resources for presentations, discussions, and retreats within CSC communities and beyond. The Four Paths Project is now available. More information can be found on the CSC website.

In late May and early June of 2025, CSC members gathered virtually for three days to learn, teach, and encourage one another. Twelve generous teaching artists offered fifteen-minute inspirations to deepen our understanding of the universe, our work, and our practice. Over 100 people attended. The gathering was hosted by Shelley Walters and the CSC tech team, and coordinated by Leadership Circle member Patty McGrath, with support from Diza Velasco and Michael Mansfield. Recordings are available on the CSC website.

In 2025, we continued offering courses and programming designed to support lifelong learning in Creation Spirituality. These six- or ten-week courses provide a pathway into deeper integration of Creation Spirituality in daily life. Some participants pursue personal growth, while others work toward certification or leadership roles.

Courses in 2025 included:

  • Deep Ecumenism taught by Roxanne WhiteLight

  • Sins of the Spirit taught by Carolyn Million

  • Mystics taught by Sally Swan, Rani George, John Robinson, and Roxanne WhiteLight with Nathan DeMay

  • Cosmogenesis taught by Penny Andrews

All educational offerings are coordinated by CSC Coordinator Nathan DeMay.

In addition to these courses, ongoing spiritual practice spaces continued to grow:

  • Haiku and Qi Gong sessions with Kaleo and Elise Ching

  • First Thursdays hosting communities of lifelong learning: Kosmic Vespers, Global Kinship, Global Dreaming, and Labyrinth Walks

  • Songpaths evenings with Roxanne Schueller

  • Communities of Practice gatherings with Penny Andrews and Mark Steiner

  • Advent Birthing the Sacred retreat led by Mary Ann Wamhoff

Many of these offerings are available on the CSC website and YouTube channel.

The Sunday afternoon Creation Spirituality Interfaith Worship Experience, created during the 2020 pandemic, became part of the monthly rhythm and was renamed First Sundays in 2025. Leadership Circle members Patty McGrath, Lori Crockett, Carolyn Million, Charlie Dorsett, and Michael Mansfield have shaped these gatherings, with Lori Crockett serving as tech host. Recordings are available on YouTube.

2026

As the Leadership Circle evaluated the work of 2025, new directions emerged. The Certificate Program and Ordination Program will be allowed to rest for a season, as interest in credentialing has declined. This pause allows space for reimagining and strengthening leadership structures, continuity systems, and focused priorities.

We are grateful to Carolyn Million and Mary Ann Wamhoff for laying the groundwork for this transition. Current vision and mission leadership includes Morgan Crena, Diza Velasco, and Michael Mansfield, along with Coordinator Nathan DeMay and the Leadership Circle.
