Before displacement, migration, crossings, and the silences passed through generations, each of our ancestral lines eventually leads to people who were indigenous to a particular land and deeply connected with nature, place, and spirit.
During this six-week experiential course, participants will explore the people, places, stories, and felt ancestral presence within their four major biological lineages. You do not need genealogical information about your ancestors to participate. Instead, the course invites a meditative and somatic form of listening for what may already be present in the body, imagination, memory, and ancestral field.
Through guided meditation, somatic tracking, altar work, circle practice, journaling and creative expression, partner work, and group sharing, participants will explore ancestral belonging and resources that may have been obscured or severed across generations.
The work has come to have connections with both decolonization and end-of-life but these are not the primary focus of this class. The deeper emphasis is reconnecting with ancestral belonging, relationships with land and nature, inherited capacities, and sources of resilience. This reconnection may help heal impulses toward colonization, exclusion, and expulsion in ourselves and our communities. It may also help heal a cultural aversion to the topics around death, dying, and grief and open ourselves to new ways of being with the full cycle of life which incudes those that have gone before.
Reconnecting with the strength and capacities of those who came before us can offer resources for meeting the personal and global challenges of our own time.

Help Someone Attend Ancestral Indigenous Reconnection
CSC is creating a sponsored enrollment fund to help make Ancestral Indigenous Reconnection available to people who may not otherwise be able to participate.
Your contribution can help cover part or all of another student’s registration cost. Choose the amount that works for you:
$25 contributes toward a student’s enrollment
$50 provides significant support toward enrollment
$125 sponsors one full registration
Custom Amount allows you to give at another level
Contributions will be combined into a shared fund and used to provide sponsored enrollments based on the amount raised and the requests received.
Request Sponsored Enrollment
Cost should not be the only reason someone is unable to participate.
Those who need financial assistance may request a partially or fully sponsored enrollment. Requests will be reviewed closer to the beginning of the course, based on available funds.
You do not need to provide extensive financial information. We simply ask you to tell us briefly why assistance would make it possible for you to attend.
How the Sponsorship Fund Works
Contributions are collected specifically to support enrollment in Ancestral Indigenous Reconnection.
Requests for assistance may be submitted until January 4th 2027.
Sponsored enrollments will be awarded based on available funding.
Assistance may cover part or all of the registration price.
Applicants will be contacted by January 4th 2027.
If more funding is received than is needed for this course, CSC will apply the remainder to the general scholarship fund.
