Come sing for the joy of singing.
Join SONGPATH, a monthly online gathering with Roxanne Schueller on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM Eastern.
SONGPATH is a place to learn simple songs, explore your voice, and experience the nourishment that comes from singing together.
There is no performance to prepare for and no need to be a trained singer. We gather simply because singing can lift us, ground us, and reconnect us with ourselves, one another, and the living world.
The songs are short, easy to learn, and often rooted in Nature, community, healing, and our relationship with the Earth.
Singing Together, Even From Afar
Online singing is a little unusual. Because Zoom cannot yet let everyone sing together at the same time, participants remain muted while Roxanne leads the songs.
And still, something happens.
You may not be able to hear the person singing beside you on the screen, but there is a sense of communion in knowing that voices are rising together in many different places. We join not only one another, but the songwriters who created these songs and the many people who have sung them before us.
There is also a wonderful freedom in being muted. No one else can hear you.
You can experiment. Sing softly or loudly. Try a harmony. Miss a note. Find a sound you did not know your voice could make.
This is singing without judgment and without an audience.
It is simply an invitation to sing.
Carry the Songs With You
A few days after each gathering, Roxanne sends participants links to recordings by the original artists whose songs were shared that month.
If a song stays with you, you can return to it, learn it more deeply, and discover the work of the musicians and songwriters who brought it into the world.
Over time, SONGPATH can become more than a monthly gathering. It can become a growing path of songs to carry into your own life.
