Abba-Imma Qigong - An Embodied Lord’s Prayer

The Abba-Imma Qigong combines the 2,000 year old Lord's Prayer with Qigong, an ancient

shamanic practice based in Chinese Medicine, in a blend of Taoist and Judeo-Christian

wisdom and compassion. It invites us to look at the meanings and origins of the Lord’s

Prayer in a new and historically discerning way. Mahalo, in gratitude, to Rev Steve Harms of

Peace Lutheran for his rendition of the prayer, bringing it closer to the original Aramaic

intention and more inclusive spirit.

Abba-Imma Qigong honors the Father-Mother God of Creation while cultivating sources of

Cosmic Qi (vital energy). It is a way of enhancing our intimacy with the Divine and of

experiencing ourselves as intimate members of our Earth family moving and chanting

together in embodied prayer.
